The most beneficial part though is the fruit which is considered to contain a lot of phytochemicals. The color of the fruit becomes yellowish then whitens as it matures. A sharp odor is emitted as it ripens. It is said that the fruit when dried into powder is still a very good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B3 which is also know as Niacin, iron, Vitamin A, potassium and a lot more.
Some Benefits of Noni
some countries, the different parts of the Noni tree are used as remedy for various ailments such as fever, cough, constipation, cramps due to menstrual periods and asthma. Though there were some researches and studies conducted on the efficacy of the various Noni – based products, a conclusive result has not been approved by some regulatory body as to its curative use. In the US, its medicinal use has yet to be approved by the Foods and Drugs Administration but in Europe, Noni has made it as a novel food.
Noni – based products include shampoos, conditioners, body wash, soap, lip balm, food supplements and tea but the most popular is the Noni juice. This juice has become so widely known that numerous companies manufacturing it have sprouted all over the world with each claiming to produce the best one with the highest concentration of anti-oxidants. At present, only one company has been granted the European Union Novel Food Approval which is the only certification to date in terms of recognition for Noni juice.
Noni juice claims to boost the immune system and promotes the wellbeing of the person. It is also marketed as a potent anti-oxidant and according to some testimonials regular intake of Noni juice increased the energy level of the person. It is also said to facilitate better digestion. There are still more statements in support of the positive effects of Noni juice but as to its veracity, a more widely accepted independent research has to be done and approval of its curative and medicinal properties has to be in effect from the different regulatory boards.
